[as a twin,] even in the womb, you’re competing for scarce resources. am i losing opportunities to make connections because i’m competing too much? as we compete for scarce resources in our unstable world, it’s not enough to be prepared to cooperate or compete. this idea that we’re competing and cooperating all of the time exists for every relationship. but friend and foe, a new book by wharton professor maurice schweitzer and columbia business school professor adam galinsky, suggests that most relationships are a lot more complex: they include both cooperation and competition.
