Death on the nile book report
Book Review: Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie | Pretty Booksit took nearly half of the book before a murder was committed and although i was quite enjoying the build up, it meant that the second half of the book – the attempt to solve the murder – was rushed.. death on the nile is one of my favorite christies. on the nile was a fun read, and i’m looking forward to reading more of christie’s books. she follows them onto the river cruise up the nile, just when the doyles had believed that she'd stopped.
Death On the Nile by Agatha Christie - review | Children's booksdeath on the nile is a shrewd masterpiece that will draw you right in. book is a real classic, and i’d also recommend evil under the sun, which has a similar plot (in some respects) but which is, arguably, even more entertaining and ingenious. in the first chapter of the book she’s described by an onlooker as:It seems all wrong to me – her looking like that. i wondered if reading the book would have been different on my kindle, without the “back of the book” summary.
Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie: Book Review – BooksPleaseon a ship travelling down the nile, tensions are high and everybody is suspect.: 'This was the first Agatha Christie book I'd ever read, and from page one I was enthralled! opening chapters of the book give you so many details, i found myself going back and rereading them again and again. when jacqueline follows them on their trip down the nile she is the obvious suspect, driven by her jealousy of linnet.

Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie | Teen Book Review of fictionthoughts on “book review: death on the nile by agatha christie”. i’ve been on a small cruise like the one in the book, but i’ve never been to egypt but would love to go. I was in a used bookstore recently and needed a good airplane book. most mystery writers try to connect every detail to the main plot, but in this book christie introduces all kinds of clues that end up having nothing to do with the murder.
Review: Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie | The Book Stopbook i didn't finish: those who save us by jenna blum. on the nile, surprisingly, often felt like a television drama. this book was written a long time ago, agatha christie is definitely a writer who needs to be remembered and her books still marvel people today. death on the nile is also not exactly what we would call politically correct, and it really is fascinating to see what sort of language, cultural and social attitudes were deemed acceptable in the 1930s.
Death on the Nileplus, i think colonel race has such a sense of style and dash and we see him as a character in more than one of christie’s books. i love almost all her books …recently re-read “lord edgware dies”, and as usual, enjoyed it a lot…! what i mean is that unlike other classic mystery books, for example, sherlock holmes, death on the nile presents each sorrow, joy, and hidden motive of the characters in a way so that you'll get upset at them, pity them, love them, and understand why they did what they did. death on the nile was my first encounter with hercule poirot, i did not know quite what to expect before beginning the book, but what i found was a character who’s very self-assured, self-confident and i’d even say he is quite cocky, but no doubt you would be after solving so many crimes, especially in agatha christie’s world; so many of her characters so far seem blasé about murder!
Death on the Nile: A Hercule Poirot Mystery (Hercule Poiroti don’t know if death on the nile is one of christie’s best, but it was a perfect plane read and reminded me why i love her books (and classic mystery novels in general). this was the first agatha christie book i'd ever read, and from page one i was enthralled! book was written in 1937, and at first i found the language a little dated. christie is a fantastic writer and one can recommend almost all her books but some are absolutely fantastic:1 the murder of roger ackroyd.
Death on the Nile (novel) | Agatha Christie Wiki | Fandom poweredmotive in this case seems straightforward, looking at who gains from linnet’s death, but this is a complicated plot (when is one of christie’s books not complicated? favorite genres are literary fiction, historical fiction and mysteries, fantasy, children's and young adult books. :-) planning to re-read “evil under the sun” soon as well …that’s another one of my favourite hercule poirot book …but well, as i said almost all books by agatha christie are my favourites…! thoughts on “review: death on the nile by agatha christie”.
Book Review: Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie | Pretty Books
Book Review – Death on the Nile, by Agatha Christie | a little birdNow I own ten other Poirot books'Death on the nile is a pre-second world war novel, first published in 1937. rest of the book takes place on their honeymoon, a river cruise on the nile (ironically, the same honeymoon that simon and jacqueline were planning). now i own ten other poirot books (poirot was the detective featured in most of christie's murder mysteries) and if you like to read about crime/detective fiction and like really good plots, then death on the nile is perfect. on the nile, however, was much slower than and then there were none and so unfortunately i suspect it will not end up as one of my favourite agatha christie novels.
i unintentionally picked death on the nile to be my fifth classic exactly a year after reading and then there were none, a novel that blew me away.'s Death on the Nile is a mesmerizing murder story about charming, wealthy, and newly-wHighly recommended / historical mystery. i love books set in other times and other worlds; books with smart, strong heroines; and books that make us think and feel. i’m working on her book of short stories the thirteen problems.
’ve also enjoyed a couple of film adaptations of this book. i was in a used bookstore recently and needed a good airplane book. i bought a wonderful 1950s penguin classics edition from skoob books earlier this year because i knew it was one of her most popular novels. online and support teen ink:Christie's death on the nile is a mesmerizing murder story about charming, wealthy, and newly-wed socialite linnet doyle, whose marriage to her best friend jackie's man stands steadfast to the belief that "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
